Our family visited on the 3rd of September and honestly can’t fault a single thing. Food was absolutely amazing, service was top tier and really made the experience. As locals we love to go out and support other local businesses and will 100% recommend this to anyone who asks where they should go for dinner. Also one of the most groovy set out places, with unique art and decor. nothing else like it on KI, definitely a must see.

Although I attended for dinner with a large group of 20, everything seemed to go well. Glossy Black is in a nice location in the village of American River. Overall the food was great as was the atmosphere and service. A great night out. I fully recommend Glossy Black.

Great food, plus they were kind enough to point us to a local Glossy Black Cockatoo hangout! They also have some art and were able to package it for transport. Highly recommended!

Great ambiance, wonderful food, and the friendliest staff ever all combined to make for a really wonderful dining experience. The offer of a complimentary glass of port and second dessert were completely unnecessary but very nice of the owners

We had dinner here last night and absolutely loved it. The place is charming, with a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious — fresh, high-quality ingredients and genuine Australian flavours. But what truly makes this restaurant special is the people. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with big smiles and made to feel completely at home. Their kindness and warmth turned a good meal into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!!! Such a nice place! Tried fish wings first time of my life and loved it. The spirit selection is also abundant, my personal favorite is the wild kangaroo island gin.

Kim, Steve & Carrie went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make our meal a lovely experience. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the food was absolutely delicious. We left smiling and contented. Thank you all for a great night.

An eclectic but cozy restaurant. Our meals (salmon on the sizzling stone and smoked cod special) were both delicious. We did not experience the extraordinary service that others mentioned. It was average to below. The biggest drawback was the wait time. It was one hour from walking in the door until we had our food. And we were only the third couple in the entire restaurant. I would go again for the food, but be mentally prepared for the wait.
